The client is a leading company in co-working space providing solutions for commercial office space to minimize the headaches of upfront investment and long leases. They provide a flexible real estate platform that allows using personal space on your terms. 

With supreme flexibility to spaces made for health and safety, the client helps big companies improve their real estate portfolio with worldwide scale, suitable terms, and speed to market.

Summary/Project objective:

Multiple departments in the client organizations had different objectives from this project. Management wanted to minimize the leakage in the system and standardize the ROI based on the seating capacity of the office space. Design teams wanted standardization of the models so that they can run different automation and link the Revit data to their ERP systems. 

The sales team wanted flexibility in the Revit model so that they can have customer-focused sales drawings (With lounge, pantry, Reception, etc.) instead of management-focused drawings which count the number of sellable desks in the office space. 

Above all everyone wanted a single source of truth that all teams can refer to. 

Business challenge/ The Goal:

  • The client wanted to complete the project within 6 months including the necessary approvals from their Product Compliance team.
  • A large number of quality checks need to be performed before acceptance. 
  • Teams had to rely on multiple sources of information to create the final model. 
  • The system should work in tandem with the existing system and a lot of historical data associated with room numbers needed to be retained for continuity. 
  • The client also needed to remove unwanted elements from the models.
  • The client required exact numbers for rooms according to floor plans and further needed tags for missing rooms according to specified standards.

Solution:

  • nCircle Tech has completed a project of updating 2500+ floors wherein each floor took 15000+ hours of man work in just 6 months with utmost accuracy. Because of automation, we helped the client to increase productivity by 20-25%.
  • We, nCircle Tech, have offered a few highlighted solutions like BIM Modeling Services and BIM Automation for completing tasks of the client.
  • We helped to find a solution by ramping up to a team of 15 modelers within 2 weeks. We developed automation solutions to speed up the process and also automated quality checks for saving time.
  • We used BIM Connections for automatically downloading files from BIM 360 to Google Drive and also established a solution to automatically update Revit models from 2017 to 2020.
  • We also have set quality checks for desk count, the number of rooms, auto-tagging of rooms, and automatically exploding grouped families into separate BIM entities, and floor-wise DWG export for all Revit files collaborated on BIM360.
